Who am I? by Casting Crowns

Who am I?
This is a question we all ask
That the Lord of all the earth,
Would care to know my name,
Would care to feel my hurt.
Who am I?
Jeremiah 1:5
"I knew you before I formed you in your mother's womb.
Before you were born I set you apart
and appointed you as my spokesman to the world."
That the bright and morning star,
Would choose to light the way,
For my ever wandering heart.
Psalms 119:105
Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light for my path.
Bridge:
Not because of who I am,
But because of what you've done.
Not because of what I've done,
But because of who you are.
Isaiah 12:2
See, God has come to save me.

I will trust in him and not be afraid.
The Lord God is my strength and my song;
he has become my salvation."
Chorus:
I am a flower quickly fading,
Here today and gone tomorrow,
A wave tossed in the ocean,
A vapor in the wind
Matthew 6:30
And if God cares so wonderfully for flowers
that are here today and gone tomorrow,
won't he more surely care for you?
You have so little faith!
Still you hear me when I'm calling,
Lord, you catch me when I'm falling,
And you've told me who I am.
I am yours.
I am yours.
Who am I?
That the eyes that see my sin
Would look on me with love
And watch me rise again.
Rom 5:15
And what a difference between our sin and God's generous gift of forgiveness.
For this one man, Adam, brought death to many through his sin.
But this other man, Jesus Christ,
brought forgiveness to many through God's bountiful gift.
Who am I?
That the voice that calmed the sea,
Would call out through the rain,
And calm the storm in me.
Matthew 8:24 - 27
Suddenly, a terrible storm came up, with waves breaking
into the boat.
But Jesus was sleeping.
The disciples went to him and woke him up, shouting,
"Lord, save us! We're going to drown!"
And Jesus answered, "Why are you afraid? You have so little faith!"

Then he stood up and rebuked the wind and waves, and suddenly all was calm.
The disciples just sat there in awe. "Who is this?" they asked themselves.
"Even the wind and waves obey him!"
Not because of who I am,
But because of what you've done.
Not because of what I've done,
But because of who you are.
I am a flower quickly fading,
Here today and gone tomorrow,
A wave tossed in the ocean,
A vapor in the wind.
Still you hear me when I'm calling,
Lord, you catch me when I'm falling,
And you've told me who I am.
I am yours.
Not because of who I am,
But because of what you've done.
Not because of what I've done,
But because of who you are.
I am a flower quickly fading,
Here today and gone tomorrow,
A wave tossed in the ocean,
A vapor in the wind.
Still you hear me when I'm calling,
Lord, you catch me when I'm falling,
And you've told me who I am.
I am yours.
I am yours.
I am yours.
Whom shall I fear?
Whom shall I fear?'
Cause I am yours.
I am yours.
I am so THANKFUL, Lord that you are with me every hour of every day. Not one minute goes by that you do not know what I am doing, feeling or dealing with! Thank you Father.
